Agreed. Like you said, she was a pretty nasty person, but didn’t deserve to be killed. And every person — atheist or Christian, hated or loved — deserves the same level of protection and justice from law enforcement.

And as for her abrasive personality…well, I can think of one or two people on the other side of the political spectrum who are just as awful. In fact, it almost seems to be a job requirement for successful right-wing punditry these days.
