Another reader commented, and I quote: “males are taught not to intuit stuff, because it interferes with teamwork: hunting party, army, sailing ship, etc. One can’t just do what “feels right”, because the team members must all be on same page at the time time. You should make a formal schedule of what things need to done and when:daily, weekly, and monthly.”

And yet: in all of those “teamwork” situations, someone (coach, CO, etc.) comes up with lists of tasks that need to be done — including cleaning and cooking (in the case of the military) and people are assigned to do those tasks. So I call BS on that.
