“Creative people are going to create, no matter what!” is only true to a certain extent. I’ve written a lot — including a novel and two non-fiction works — and not gotten paid for most of it. So I have to hold down a full-time day job. Sure, I still manage to write when I can. But if I wasn’t renting out all my time to the job, I can’t even imagine how much more I would have written.
