Excellent article, and right on. I would go even further: we don’t just need supportive relatives, we need *free or very affordable childcare.* We need PAID parental leave for enough time to really recover from childbirth. We need PAID time off to deal with sick kids and other family issues. The US is literally the WORST country to have a kid in.
