I read through your story and I thought it was well done. Your tags seemed on-point, though I might suggest “travel” rather than “life,” since your readers are most likely to be tourists (I’m guessing).

Perhaps the date you posted it had something to do with it? Like, was it too close to the date of Carnivale? You want to give your stories a little lead time before the relevant date (if there is one) so curators have time to look at it, and if they decide to curate it, to be distributed to subscribers.
