I agree. All that stuff — her domineering husband, the crazy preacher, the insane amount of stress she was under, the ever-changing meds — put stress on a structure that wasn’t up to code to begin with.

Honestly though, I put a lot of the blame on her husband. He was the one who should have been there for her, supporting her and helping her. Instead he dismissed her very real problems and kept insisting she fulfill his (and Woroniecki’s) idea of what a woman’s role should be. He didn’t care one bit about her. It’s sad.
