I agree, she does seem to be a psychopath. And that people don’t judge her as harshly because she didn’t actually harm anyone — she just scammed other rich people (though I’d argue that her friend Rachel Williams wasn’t rich, and being taken for more than a year’s salary did quite a bit of harm to her).

That is definitely what her case is all about — how just by “looking the part,” anyone can enjoy the privileges that wealth conveys. And I think for a lot of folks, there is a kind of admiration for that (though not from me, to be clear).
