I agree, she seems pretty unrepentant and still crazy. I also don’t understand why she was allowed to marry an ex con — most parole conditions include not associating with any other criminals.
As for Moore, I think it was the federal law that basically mandated that she be paroled. Honestly in her case, I’m willing to believe her — she’s expressed remorse and describes being radicalized much like what we’re hearing from former QAnon folks…she seemed like she had some mental health issues to begin with (maybe histrionic personality disorder?), and she was surrounded by a lot of radicals. Now she’s in a wheelchair, and the only thing she did to violate parole was take a trip outside the US without permission.
But your point about women being seen as less dangerous is a good one.
