I think we’re actually saying the same thing. I agree that women should speak up and say what they’re thinking and what they want! I’m just saying that it has been, and still is, the standard that women are always the ones who are told how to fix their man’s problem. Like, “buy him new shoes, spray them with vinegar, etc., etc.” rather than, “Tell him it’s a problem. Here are some videos/websites/etc. you can suggest to him.” The difference is between the woman being the one expected to *do* all these things, vs. her asking him to to solve the problem (but maybe suggesting some tips to help).
