I was with you until your "discredit the far left" line. We have no far left. The Overton window here in the US has shifted so far to the right, what you're calling the "far left" is actually *moderate centrism* in just about every other democratic country.

When we have a real political movement to seize the assets of the wealthy and corporations, to redistribute to the poor and workers, I'll call that the far left.
