Interesting points…thank you! I agree it would have been nice for Jet to have a character arc. But then, she was just a “sidekick,” and they usually don’t get much character development.

I hadn’t thought about Tank Girl as “morally grey,” but I can see your point. I had simply accepted the dystopian milieu of the film, such that everything and everyone are morally grey. The one thing that bothered me was how quickly she just forgot about her bf and all her roommates getting killed. But again, this is pretty standard in male-led action movies. The emotional lives of characters are absent, or very narrow.

I can tell you’ve thought a lot about this movie! I really enjoyed your analysis. I look forward to reading more from you!
