It’s true, and yes, it is a good thing. I don’t listen to too many podcasts but I am addicted to true-crime TV shows. I recently wrote a review of the Forensic Files reboot, because I noticed how much less victim-blamey it was, compared to its original.
As a true-crime content creator myself, the victim always front and center of my mind. Am I portraying them (male or female) with dignity? Am I including facets of their lives that, while they might be sensational, aren’t relevant?
I won’t say I’m always perfect, but I try.
