Oh honey, bless your heart. You’re just embarrassing yourself. The KKK might have endorsed LBJ at first, but as soon as he signed the Civil Rights and Voting Rights acts, they (and all the other non-hooded racists) left him — and the Republican party was only to happy to welcome them. This was their Southern Strategy, as laid out by the Powell Memo and recordings of Paul Weyrich.

As for the KKK supporting Jimmy Carter, do you really think we’re so dumb as to believe that? He supported integration in his very first run for state senator. His peanut farm was boycotted by the White Citizens Council. And let’s not forget that Ronald Reagan campaigned in 1980 (you know, the one against Carter) in Neshoba County, Mississippi — where three Civil Rights activists were murdered by the Klan in 1964.

It’s interesting how now that racism isn’t popular, the GOP is trying to gaslight the world into believing it’s really the Democrats who are racist. Reality check: go find any random racist. Seriously — anyone flying a Confederate flag or Nazi paraphernalia. Ask them who they vote for. I’ll wait.

Your lack of basic knowledge of relatively recent history — which some of us actually remember — is really embarrassing. Go read an actual history book — or hell, even Wikipedia — before you stick your foot even further into your mouth.
