Sorry, this is not an “affect.” Myself and nearly every woman I know — far out here in flyover country, far from any cameras — were legitimately pissed, and many of us who are survivors of sexual assault were triggered — yes, actually triggered the way war veterans and other trauma survivors are triggered. Kavanaugh looked and sounded exactly like so many of the entitled frat-boys who assaulted us. The fact that you don’t believe us just proves the story’s point — we have a lot to be angry about.
