Thanks! I couldn’t have said it better. I do agree domestic violence is a problem for people of all genders, and that *all* victims of domestic violence need and deserve help and respect.

But the statistics, as well as the lived experiences of women, clearly point to this being a crime overwhelmingly committed by men against women. To ignore or dismiss this will only make the problem worse — the best way to combat violence is to root out its source. And in this case, it’s pretty clear what the source is: men who feel entitled to women, who feel that women *belong* to them, so they can do whatever they want to to those women. In other words, patriarchy.

So I’m just doing my part to help smash it.
