The Regan/GOP deregulation was indeed responsible for gutting California's OSHA, so that the tens of thousands of dollars in fines for labor law violations was slashed to a few thousand.

These are the kinds of stories - like the Radium Girls - that we need to keep telling to counter the "deregulation" cultists. Regulations were put in place for good reasons - to protect human beings and the environment we depend on.
