Those are all excellent questions, ones I wish I had the answer to. I did read that in court, the surviving sister (who was old enough to speak) testified that the father was abusive, and I have to say that the level of secrecy and monitoring tracks with that. I suspect the parents were just naive about the internet, considering how tightly they controlled everything else.
