Wow, more “anecdata” to feed the “bothsidesism.” Look, I’m not OK with mindless vitriol coming from any corner. If I ever see Democrats hold rallies where they call the press the “enemy of the people,” and stir up so much hate against them that reporters fear for their lives, I’ll speak out. If a Democratic candidate ever encouraged their followers to beat up or assault protesters, I’ll speak out. If a Democratic candidate or leader encouraged stochastic violence, leading to supporters committing mass shootings, mailing bombs, or otherwise harming marginalized people, I’ll speak out. If a Democratic candidate garnered the support of the KKK, Neo-Nazis, or other bigots, I’ll speak out. Any single one of those actions would be a deal-breaker for me — regardless of party.
And that’s not even going into his long history of fraud, campaign finance violations, and sexual assault. Or the way he’s blatantly soliciting illegal election interference from foreign countries (yes, plural). Or abusing his power to punish his “enemies” and reward his cronies.
But the FACTS show that right-wing terrorism and violence is the biggest threat to Americans’ safety — more so than Muslim and left-wing nut jobs *combined.*
There is no “both sides.” One side is supporting fascism. The other side is, well, sometimes mean to people who support fascism. If not being “nice” to Nazis and those who support them makes me such a terrible person, I’ll wear that as a badge of honor.
Oh, and BTW: the #WalkAway “movement” is entirely astroturf, founded by pro-Trump and Russian bots.
