Wow. Thank you so much for that heartbreaking work. It’s strange to me the history of DSS calls on him wasn’t admitted into evidence…that seems like it would have a direct relevance to the case, showing he had a long history of abuse, and wasn’t just a great dad who suddenly snapped.

I’ve said it in several responses above, but it bears repeating: the agencies that are tasked with protecting children and other vulnerable people need to be fully funded, fully staffed with properly trained workers, and operating with checks in place to prevent these kinds of things from happening.
